Terms of Service

Effective date: August 24, 2026

Welcome to PETER Demo ("PETER", "the Demo", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the PETER Demo.

By accessing or using the Demo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Demo.

1. What This Is

PETER Demo is a demonstration application for an attendance and monitoring system. It demonstrates a camera-based time-clock flow where users can clock in and clock out and, where available, view attendance information.

The Demo is not a product and is not production software. It is provided for evaluation, testing, educational, and portfolio purposes only.

The Demo is not intended to be used for real-world attendance tracking, payroll, employment decisions, regulatory compliance, security monitoring, or other business-critical purposes.

2. Demo Data

The Demo may contain pre-seeded fictional staff records, such as "Juan Dela Cruz". Names, schedules, attendance records, and other pre-seeded information are fictional sample data and are not intended to represent real people.

You may enter information while testing the Demo. Information entered into the Demo is stored locally in your browser as described in our Privacy Policy.

You should avoid entering real personal or sensitive information into the Demo, particularly information belonging to other individuals.

3. Camera Use

The Demo may request access to your device's camera when you use its camera-based attendance functionality.

If camera access is granted, the Demo may capture an attendance photo. Camera processing and storage are performed locally in your browser as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate authorization before capturing another person's image or other personal information.

You may deny or revoke camera permission through your browser. Some Demo features may not function without camera access.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Demo for lawful evaluation, testing, educational, and demonstration purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Demo for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or malicious purposes.
  • Use the Demo to monitor or track real people without appropriate authorization.
  • Intentionally enter or process sensitive personal information belonging to another person without an appropriate legal basis or authorization.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to the Demo or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Attempt to circumvent security or access controls.
  • Use the Demo in a way that violates applicable law.

5. No Accounts

The Demo does not require or create user accounts.

Attendance and other application data created during the Demo is stored locally in your browser rather than in a central application database operated by us.

Because we do not maintain a server-side copy of your Demo data, we generally cannot retrieve, recover, restore, or provide access to data stored in your browser.

6. Local Data and Data Loss

The Demo stores application data locally using browser storage technologies.

Locally stored data may be removed when you:

  • Clear this site's stored data.
  • Reset or remove browser storage.
  • Use certain private or temporary browsing modes.
  • Change browsers or devices.
  • Uninstall or reset software or devices in ways that remove browser data.

The Demo does not provide a backup or data-recovery service.

You are responsible for any data you choose to enter into the Demo.

7. No Production Guarantee

The Demo may be modified, interrupted, temporarily unavailable, or discontinued at any time.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Demo will always be available.
  • Features or behavior will remain unchanged.
  • The Demo will be free of bugs or errors.
  • Attendance calculations or displayed information will always be accurate.
  • Locally stored data will remain available.
  • The Demo is suitable for any particular organization, business, school, or use case.

8. Intellectual Property

The PETER Attendance Engine, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to us unless otherwise stated.

Your use of the Demo does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit proprietary portions of the Demo without appropriate authorization.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Demo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

This includes warranties regarding availability, accuracy, reliability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, or suitability for production use.

The Demo is experimental and has not necessarily undergone a security audit or production-readiness assessment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for losses or damages arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Demo, including loss of locally stored data, lost time, or indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Demo evolves.

The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the current version took effect.

Your continued use of the Demo after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Contact
